Terms

Fern terms of service.

These terms describe the basic conditions for using Fern while the service is in early production. They are written to be practical and transparent for customers evaluating a client intelligence platform that processes sensitive workplace communications.

Service use

Fern provides an organizational client intelligence platform that connects to customer-approved communication sources to extract timelines, topics, risks, action items, sentiment, and related client relationship signals.

Customer authorization

Customers are responsible for connecting only sources they are authorized to use and for ensuring their team has appropriate notice and permission for Fern to process approved workplace communications.

Data and privacy

Fern processes customer data to provide the product. We do not sell customer data. Our privacy policy explains how connected source data is processed, retained, and controlled.

Integrations

Fern uses third-party APIs such as Google, Slack, Fireflies, WorkOS, Supabase, and AI providers to operate the service. Customers can disconnect integrations or request deletion of organization data.

Security

Fern uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including TLS, secret vaulting for integration credentials, and organization-scoped access patterns.

Support and contact

For product, privacy, security, or account questions, contact support@usefern.ai or jason@usefern.ai.

Last updated: May 2026. These terms may be replaced by a customer-specific agreement as Fern moves through production verification and customer onboarding.
